Burgerstein EPA capsules 500 mg contain a concentrate of fish oils with various polyunsaturated, essential fatty acids (omega-3 fatty acids), which are largely absent from our food. The body needs these fatty acids to build up hormone-like substances (prostaglandins, thromboxanes, leukotrienes). A lack of omega-3 fatty acids can influence the development of certain lipid metabolism disorders.

Burgerstein EPA capsules 500 mg are used as a dietary supplement to food with elevated blood lipid levels and to ensure the need for unsaturated fatty acids.

When should Burgerstein EPA Capsules 500 mg not be used?

Burgerstein EPA capsules 500 mg should not be used in the case of disorders of fat digestion caused by diseases of the gallbladder or pancreas or in the case of hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.

When should you be careful when taking Burgerstein EPA Capsules 500 mg?

Burgerstein EPA capsules 500 mg contain 28 mg sorbitol per capsule, corresponding to 0.4 mg per kg at a body weight of 70 kg.

Caution is required when taking medication to thin the blood (anticoagulation) at the same time, as their effect can be enhanced by Burgerstein EPA Capsules 500 mg.

Adults and young people from the age of 14

As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule 3 times a day with meals. The capsules are swallowed whole with a glass of water.

Burgerstein EPA capsules 500 mg are not intended for use in adolescents and children under the age of 14.

Stick to the dosage given in the package leaflet or as prescribed by your doctor. If you think the medicine is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or druggist.

What side effects can Burgerstein EPA Capsules 500 mg have?

Rarely, intolerance reactions in the gastrointestinal area, such as diarrhea or abdominal pain, can occur.

The best way to eliminate fish oil burping and occasional nausea is to take fish oils immediately before main meals.
