What is Burgerstein Geriatric and when is it used?

Burgerstein Geriatric contains vitamins, minerals and trace elements as well as ginseng extract to improve the reduced physical and mental performance. Burgerstein Geriatric is suitable as a general tonic for older people, for example during recovery, when tired, lacking energy, exhaustion, with one-sided or insufficient nutrition, with chewing difficulties, food digestion disorders.

When should Burgerstein Geriatric not be used?

You must not take Burgerstein Geriatric if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients, if there is already an oversupply of vitamin A or D (so-called hypervitaminosis), if you are taking other medicines containing vitamin A or D, if you suffer from or if you have impaired kidney function You are being treated with retinoids (e.g. for acne).

When should you be careful when taking Burgerstein Geriatric?

Do not use higher than the recommended dose for a long period of time.

Because of its content of p-aminobenzoic acid, Burgerstein Geriatric should not be taken at the same time as sulfonamides. Note for diabetics: Ginseng can lower blood sugar levels. An interaction of ginseng with drugs that inhibit blood clotting (so-called anticoagulants, especially coumarins) cannot be ruled out.

Burgerstein Geriatric contains, among other things, vitamin A. It must be taken into account that the daily requirement of vitamin A (contained in liver, products containing liver, milk, dairy products, margarine, eggs, cooking oil) is met or exceeded with a balanced diet. This applies to liver and possibly products containing liver.

It has been found that the risk of certain birth defects in newborns increases with daily intake of high doses of vitamin A during pregnancy. When consuming large amounts of food containing vitamin A, the simultaneous intake of Burgerstein Geriatric should be avoided. Burgerstein Geriatric must not be taken when consuming liver.

How do you use Burgerstein Geriatric?

Adults:  1 capsule daily after a main meal. Hold the capsule in your mouth with some liquid for a few seconds and you will be able to swallow it easily. The dosage can also be increased to 2 capsules per day. It is recommended to take Burgerstein Geriatric for a few months. Burgerstein Geriatric is not intended for use in children and adolescents.
